HUMANITY FOR HAITIVancouver Soul Musicians Band Together for Haiti

Yes, this event now has a "real" title; Humanity For Haiti. I am pleased to announce that plans for this amazing event are well underway. The response so far has been overwhelming! In terms of the actual news coverage for this event, CBC has given us multiple plugs and we are currently looking for more media to help us get as much coverage as possible. Again, all proceeds from this show will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross. If you would like to make a charitable donation in excess of the $15 you will pay for admission, the Red Cross will be on site with us most of the evening for you to make further donations and get a tax receipt. We are excited to have Sharon Jones of the Canadian Red Cross join us to give a presentation regarding current relief efforts in Haiti! As for the bands, everyone is pumped and ready to make you dance your socks off all night long. From neo jazz/soul artist Jackee Guillou to the bashing beats of Aaron Nazrul and the Boom Booms, all topped off with funk good times from The Phonix. The Star Captains are yet to be confirmed. So mark it in your calendar if you haven't already! FEBRUARY 17- Doors @ 7:30pm and music to start shortly thereafter. 1882 Adanac St, Vancouver -Reuben Avery, Manager- The Phonix -January 18, 2010 |
